You mean planes that defeat your F16 block 50-52, F/A 18 D and F15 E without using 60% of their protection/detection/targeting system (ok in trainings i admit) ? well, think we already have…Of course we could buy better planes abroad but you know since USA use their politic power to prevent france from selling planes we have to support our aeronotic industry and buy local stuff…
Maybe if the French grew some balls they can fly real planes.
It takes some serious skills to do these maneuvers with heavy fighters like the Mig-29. I wish the aerobatic team of the French Air Force (La Patrouille de France) could also use front-line fighter jets like the Rafale or the Mirage 2000 instead of their current aircraft (the Alpha Jet, which is actually an advanced trainer aircraft).

I agree, this is an awsome and beatiful aircraft. I like the Russian approach to aircraft design. Rugged and dependable.
While in the US Air Force I worked with Russian pilots and air traffic controllers. They have my respect, noble linage, noble people and beautiful aircraft. Pride is one thing; however, if you’re an American, don’t leave ignorant posts you make all Americans look stupid with uneducated comments. Russian aircraft design Bureaus Mikoyan-i-Gurevich and Sukhoi are world renown. Besides, all aircraft have their strengths and weakness.
