I heard that dogs also understand MUCH better by the sounds you make towards them, if you make a deep serious sound at them (for scolding) they’ll stop and focus on you. Or if you yell while theyre barking they’ll think your barking too. Because when you make loud sounds they think you speak their type of language.
Their language centre in the brain. Though not as developed like those in human brains im pretty sure they can understand simple one word commands and pay more attention to the tone of the owner’s voice.
