this dog dreams hes running and face plants into the wall … funny dog sleeping
thats good lmao [:
drugs make things worse. if the dog is suffering… you’ll have to ask the dog. i do not know
haha hilourious
He had a nightmare of either Freddy Kruger or Micheal Vick.
Just to clarify: My comments are intended to help this owner and those whose dogs exhibit similar signs. This is a strange case and many others could benefit from this information. It’s clear they care for the dog; they did supply a helmet. But he still needs help; show me ONE medical document that explains that ANY limb movement during sleep is normal; show me ONE medical document that says sleep-walking is not a brain-based problem. Sleep-walking & seizures are related; he needs help.
I recommend you take this to the vet and make that suggestion; perhaps this dog could benefit from some anti-seizure medications. Epileptic dogs can live long, happy, healthy lives. But they do need proper treatment. Good luck with Biscuit.
Look at all your videos; the dog’s behavior pattern is the same in each. Nightmare, unrestricted limb movement, sudden awakening, confused state of consciousness, altered awareness, rigid body posture and muscular posture, long, absent stare, barking, then, falling back over. It’s not falling asleep; it’s falling INTO seizure. The erection that others note in their comments is also a major sign of involuntary response.
Normal sleep & dreaming:

The dog is barking because it is trying to alert you that something bad is ABOUT TO HAPPEN and it needs help. Its telling you that something is wrong and it wants you there before it passes out. Bad dreams before a seizure– which interrupt sleep– are quite common. Not all seizures are gran mal.
THAT LONG IMMOBILE STARE IS A MAJOR BENCHMARK SIGN OF PARTIAL SEIZURE ACTIVITY. Get this dog to a vet, with these videos, and request some anti-seizure medication. See the muscular rigidity and instability (wavering back and forth) while he is staring? All major signs of seizure activity in the brain, though the stare alone would be sufficient to suspect partial and/or peripheral seizure activity.
In some of your other videos, the dog regains consciousness, though he is still very confused by his surroundings, he walks a few steps, then stops and just stares. Then, he falls back down again and is unable to move again. It’s almost as though his brain is TRYING to wake his body up in PREPARATION for a coming seizure; similar to waking up in the middle of the night to vomit. It’s as if he transitions out of sleep into awareness too quickly for the body…
What leads me to believe that this dog may have a brain-based problem, (& both epilepsy and sleepwalking are brain-based disturbances of consciousness) is that the brain typically restricts the movement of limbs during sleep. Compare this dog’s sleep to that of other dogs; he’s unique. When he does regain consciousness, he looks sincerely dazed, and as if he can’t tell whether or not he’s in a dream any longer…
Because he’s sick…
