  3. Lauren says:

My dog loves tennis balls and tug of war ropes! When he wants to play he’ll hold what he wants to play with in his mouth and drop it on your lap. If that doesn’t work, he’ll bark at you. Its cute but kind of annoying. One of my past dogs would listen to the command “Lets go to bed” He would take a toy and run to the bedroom. If you weren’t following him, he would come back to where everyone was and cock his head to the side.

i lived in a secure building for a while so when a friend came they would text me. from then on my dog runs to the door and barks every time my phone goes off. annoying but funny.
    hope this helps.

  9. KD says:

I have a boxer and he loves his tennis balls. He’ll kick them around like they are soccor balls. He also lays on his back with his feet straight up and his lips will fold back and he looks like he has a huge smile.

  10. DeeDawg says:

Dallas rolls around and gives herself a backscratch in the grass and makes a noise just like “OH”
it’s pretty funny, sounds like shes a person getting a back massage.

and if i leave the house for more than a few hours, Tank takes all my shoes and puts them in a circle on the bed and sleeps on them.

  11. Sheri says:

The newest is that my 9 year old will play with my dogs while hiding under a blanket. . the dogs try and find him and then play with him while he is under the blanket. .

My son went away for the weekend and while I was cleaning I look over to watch one of my 13 month old pups go to his room, pullout the blanket, got herself under the blanket and waited. . LOL I called my other dogs saying where is Diamond. . LOL her tail was sticking out from the blanket and was wagging feverishly. . the others came over and played with her as they do my son. . .

Too cute that I had to get pictures

When you have 5 dogs there is always something funny going on! Especially with boxers.

  15. nas88car300 Ky wins all 3 says:

the way her ears used to perk up once she heard our hot air popcorn popper
    she loved popcorn

  16. horselover97 says:

She scooches her butt on the floor and tries to itch it. Also, she’ll hump a large pillow on it’s side. We will put a pillow on the floor and my dog will put her legs around it and hump it trying to play with it. She’s spayed or neautured (idk which) and she doesn’t mean to do it though.

  17. Yorkies are NOT lap dogs! says:

My yorkie does this little “hi your home!!” dance where he jumps around on his back legs and waves his front paws int he air!

My Border collie gets soopah excited when we are getting ready for a walk but she knows she not meant to run about so she sits and tap dances with her front paws! SHe gets a Pretty good rhythm going!

  18. "I dance in the mud" says:

My chow/border collie mix is so funny because she loves to go “fishing”, we have a creek in the back yard and she will spend hours sticking her head under the water and trying to catch the Northern Creek Chubs (aka minnows) then she gets bored with it and will bring rocks up onto the bank of the creek. She is not obsessive about it, but she will “ask” to go in the creek. . by running to the creek then staring back at us waiting for the “OK” command.

  19. Mutt says:

He hates hates hates the UPS truck but he doesn’t even notice when the FedEx truck goes by.

& when the train goes by (I live basically right on the railroad tracks; my property backs up to them) he howls at it.

  20. papaw says:

When she needs or wants something, she comes to where I am and ‘mumble’ barks at me until I respond. I’ll go thru my list of questions to her and when I get to the one she wants, she will start jumping (four footed jumps) straight up and down. It’s hilarious, but really shows her intelligence and understanding of key words.

  21. bob bob says:

Mine sleeps on a bench outside in the daytime and he tries to open doors and wishes he had thumbs.

  22. Sonata says:

Not my dog, but my sister’s dog sits in a chair like a human looking out the window, with his arm on the armrest, when he wants something he will snort like a pig through his nose.
EDIT: He will also get on the floor and turn his back on you if he gets mad, when you ask him what’s wrong he will turn his head away from you, also like a human, all funny but kind of spooky too.

  23. cockey one says:

I have a border collie / blue heeler mix and a 1 year old cat. The cat still gets into trouble so when the cat gets yelled out my dog herds hers she can’t avoid getting punished.

  24. Sir Hoochalot says:

Walks along the back of the sofa like a cat. His balance is amazing.

  25. jerry says:

    walks on 2 front legs

  26. ?Little Boy Due Nov. 21st? says:

My miniature dachshund loves to sleep, and in my bed of course, so when she thinks it’s bed time she finds her stuffed animal duck(she can’t sleep without it) and just sits looking at me and my husband like “hey it’s bed time” lol
It is the cutest thing ever!

  27. Felicia Q says:

My dogs are complete clowns. . . so many to stories to pick from. . . . . . so little time. . . . LOL

    Old Dog –
When my old dog (Boxer mix) is tired of playing with the younger dog she systematically picks up ALL their toys and stashes them in the back of her crate. Then. . . she lays in the crate doorway so the young dog can’t get to them. This drives the youngster crazy. . . . who rats her out by running back and forth to me whining. . . . and peering into the older dog’s crate.

    Young Dog –
Boxer’s have this way of JUMPING/POUNCING very stiff legged onto things (with their front legs locked straight). My young boxer does speed runs from the bedroom to the living room playing. . . when she spots a toy in reach. . . she does a seriously HIGH aerial jump/dive (landing stiff legged) grabs a toy. . . throws it straight up (often high enough to hit the 9′ ceilings). Then she blasts back down the hallway like she’s got a fire under her tail. The other day she was rippin’ around here in that mode. . . and all of a sudden. . . the game was off. . . and she was searching searching searhing alllllllll over the living room acting very perplexed. I figured the old dog had copped her toy again, but I never found it. Last night. . . I was watering a plant UP ON TOP of my china hutch. . . and THERE was the toy she had been playing with. Evidently. . . she had tossed it high enough to land on the top of the hutch.

I love it when my dogs tear around the house in pure insanity. I only put a stop to their fun when they start to VAULT the coffee table. That’s a bit much. . . . LOL

    ADDED: Legit
Sheri!! Loved the photos! Sooo precious.

  28. Rescue Shelter Dogs says:

I have a siberian husky x labrador retriever mix, and he. . well. . . nudges his head into any guy’s crotch when they come over, haha! My dad likes his “protective trait”. As well, he likes to rub on you like a cat. . . he’s actually much more like a feline!

  29. Superdave *2* says:

When Henry our little Beagle runs he tuck his rear end under when he runs and he look like a razorback hog running. It cracks me up.

  30. nikki says:

If you drop her leash, my little Yorkie will pick the leash up and walk herself. She wags her tail and walks with her nose up in the air like she’s a princess. It’s soo cute!

  31. sonny says:

i don`t have one now, but i had a german shepard once that i swear understood everything i said, and would answer me, barking of course. people thought i was nuts until my mother heard it, i actually had the dog bark “i`m hungry”. you could just make it out.

  32. (?????)?My Pet Panda? says:

My dog has little outbursts of excitement. . lol she’s all calm, and all of a sudden she goes cray and runs down the hallway, into the living room.

  33. Travis Roberts says:

shake himself after a shower . LOL.

  34. Mireya says:

Nudge “break dances” on the carpet. lol

  35. cjrossi says:

    The latest thing:

If I put soccer on – my dog Roscoe will go right up to the TV stand, stand up and place his front paws on the TV stand and watch the game from like 1 foot in front of the TV. He follows the ball so it really looks like he is actually watching the game!

ADD: I see ‘scoots his butt across the carpet’ mentioned a couple times.

While I agree it looks ‘funny’ – it most likely means your dog needs to have its anal glands expressed – before they rupture and abscess.
