What is wrong with my dog? Funny noise and breathing?
My dog is a terrior mixed mutt. She is making sort of a daffy duck noise and breathing heavily through her nose like a panic attack. Her chest expands rapidly when she does it. It lasts for several seconds. It comes and goes. And tonight she started sneezing a lot and blinking one eye (don’t know if this is related). Please help. Thank you.

She probably has a cold. Thats what it sounds like =)
She might have Kennel cough she needs to go to a vet. My dog had it and I had to poke 3 pills down his throat every day for 10 days.
She could be having an allergic reation to something. Think is you have bathed here or used different soap, new food…etc. some dogs have ashma also.
she needs to see a vet. get her to one. if she’s having trouble breathing an ER vet might be in order.
Take her to the vet. Might be having an attack of some sort. you really need to take her in ASAP cause this doesn’t sound normal for any dogs unless they are getting ready to have an attack or are having an attack. It might not be that but if she is breathing rapidly you need to take her in like now. I’m serious she need to go in to the vet. Best of luck. *Morgan* ( :
shes having trouble breathing its that simple take her to the vet!
My dog is a shi-tzu and does it . I panique everytime now I just rub his back until he comes down .
He bite his feet alot so we think he migth be allergique to something . We change the Soap for the clothes and we will see if its that .
If not it is not his food since we give him Duck now and still does it .
So it migth be the cat . He migth be allergique but also the doctore said he migth be doing it cause he is over weigth .
So we will see but your vet could help you more to answer this question
It could possibly be that your dog is having seizures. Is your dog on any meds currently? because it could be a side effect to them. She could also be allergic to any flea treatments, or even shampoo, also foods or treats. It could be anything. You should take her to a vet ASAP. Try to remember if you have given her anything new of the items above.
Please call your vet and get the dog into a animal emergency clinic.
We can’t see the dog so there’s little we can do but speculate that it sounds like she’s in respiratory distress and needs medical care immediately.
Sounds like kennel cough to me!
Nothing major for a healthy dog but it is highly contagious and she will need antibiotics to treat it. Make sure that you keep her away from other dogs until she has finished the meds your vet will give you (When you arrive at the clinic tell the desk that you think your dog has kennel cough and they will probably put you into the exam room to wait since they don’t want your dog to make the other dogs in the waiting room sick)
It can be hard on the dog because they get a lot of mucus when they have kennel cough so they can be kind of miserable and will sometimes retch like they are about to throw up, but they won’t they are just trying to move the mucus.
Hopefully its just a cold, but it could be a seizure. My dog had them. You should take her to a vet and have her checked out. Until then, sit with her when it happens and pet her. Tell it its okay etc… You need to calm her down and also don’t get her too excited. It could also be that she has something blocking her airway, whether its in her throat or nose. That could explain the sneezing. Is she still eating and drinking okay?
